Becoming A Contestant
• How do I become a Contestant?
Miss International Grand Latina is open to men and women of all ages between 10-55. First step is sending in an application online. Apply here.
• Do I have to have pageant experience to compete in Miss International Grand Latina?
Absolutely not! Quite often contestants have little or no pageant experience. Almost every year contestants that win the title have never competed before.
• Can I still compete if I live outside of the United States?
Of course you can. As long as you have Hispanic roots and within the age range, you are more than welcome to compete.
• Is there an entry fee?
Miss International Grand Latina is self-supporting and relies solely upon entry fees to cover production expenses. If you are selected to compete you will be informed of the entry fee upon acceptance.
• What does the fee include?
Fees include:
Eligibility for all prizes and awards
Sash
Variety of learning workshops (depends on the season)
• What is not included in fees?
Competition Wardrobe
Lodging
Airfare
Travel to and from Airport
• Do I need to be fluent in either Spanish or English?
No you don’t. We have had many contestants compete that only speak English or only Spanish.
• Can I still compete if I married and/or have children?
Of course you can! Being married and/or having children should not be a reason why you can’t make a positive impact in your community.
• What does the schedule look like for nationals and are all days mandatory?
The following is a rough draft of our 2022 schedule. All contestants are REQUIRED to attend all days.
November 4-6, 2022
Friday: Rehearsals, Private Interviews and Dinner Party
Saturday: Rehearsals & Preliminary
Sunday: Rehearsals & Grand Finally
• Is there a minimum/maximum number of contestants per category?
We usually have a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 20 contestants per category. Unforeseen circumstances for contestants like family emergencies, etc. can lead for last minute changes. Due to this MIGL holds the final decision in combining age categories as they see fit.
Judging & Criteria
How is the pageant judged?
Each contestant will be scored in three areas of competition. Interview 40%, Fun Fashion 25%, Evening Gown 25%. Semi-Finalists will move onto onstage question 10%.
Is there a talent portion of the competition?
In order to qualify for the title there is no mandatory talent portion. If you wish to participate in talent you can, but it does not count against/for the title. Talent is optional.
Is there a swimsuit portion of the competition?
In order to qualify for the title there is no mandatory swimsuit portion. If you wish to participate in swimsuit you can, but it does not count against/for the title. Swimsuit is optional.
Are there any height or weight requirements to compete in the pageant?
No! We believe that it should not matter your height/weight in order to be a positive role model within your community.

How many contestants compete?
The number of contestants vary each year. However, typically from 40-100 contestants.
Where is the pageant held at?
Our national pageant will be held in Georgia, USA this year 2022. Join us for the best pageant yet at Buford Community Center “Sylvia Beard Theatre.” November 2022.

If I win the title, how much time would I need to invest?
MIGL is very flexible. We are all busy and we understand! Most appearances and events are on the weekends.
If I am unable to compete, will I be issued a refund or a credit?
All fees paid to Miss International Grand Latina LLC. are NON REFUNDABLE in full or in part under any circumstances. This includes entry fees, advertising fees, pageant admission tickets and any other fees paid to Miss International Grand Latina.
